post 7 woops think of the other post as 6

"I think I'm beginning to understand why Boo Radley's stayed shut up in that house all this time... it's because he wants to stay inside"

i think this quote means alot to the book, and to mayella and boo. mayella has had experience to the real world and boo hasnt, so its harder for mayella to realize what was going on in life, but to boo it would seem all new, and he would think this is all normal

i chose this quote because i thought it meant a lot to the book and that scout is realizeing why boo has never come out. im kinda starting to think of boo as there gaurdian angel, because he knows whats going on to everyone, and that he has watched them and nothing has gone bad yet.

1. do you think of boo as a gaurdian angel?
2. what do you think is going to happen next in the book?

Chapter 16

Quote Analysis

Quote #1-Beginning of Chapter 16

"So it took an eight-year old child to bring 'em to their senses, didn't it?" said Atticus. "That proves something-that a gang of wild animals can be stopped, simply because they're still human."

2. Response: well I chose this quote because it tells the truth, no matter how insane they get people are people and are still humans. I also chose this quote because it shows how insightful Atticus is

3. Significance: because it gives you a reason why Atticus doesn’t mind them as much as they did. It’s because they are still all humans. Also shows how savage a tamed lion can be.

Questions

1. is this the reason why Atticus is never scared of people in Maycomb?

2. What do you think of the trial so far?

Quote #2- End of Chapter 14
"Why do you reckon Boo Radley's never run off?"Dill sighed a long sigh and turned away from me. "Maybe he doesn't have anywhere to run off to....."

Chapter 14
pg end of chapter 14
Quote Analysis 1."Why do you reckon Boo Radley's never run off?"Dill sighed a long sigh and turned away from me. "Maybe he doesn't have anywhere to run off to....."

2. Response: I chose this quote because it shows how unfortunet peoples lives can be. for boo its so bad that he doesnt have anywhere to run to. it also shows that not only does scout think about why boo is still here but for how sorry she is for him.

3. Significance: It shows that scout is maturing and not only thinking of what people say, but thinks about how people feel. "to crawl into there skin and feel how they do." as i quote from atticus scout is finally seeing what atticus means by that, and not to judge people by other peoples words but by ho0w they are treated and how they react. "cant judge a book by its cover"

Questions (for your group members to respond to)

1. Why do you think boo still stays in that house?

2. Do you think that scout is maturing? how so?
